From Zion to Toroweap Overlook

Are you looking to add a little bit of the Grand Canyon to your Zion Canyon adventure? If so Toroweap Overlook is one of your best destinations, and isn’t too far from Zion. Toroweap is a very famous overlook that gives you one of the best views of the mighty Colorado River there is.

The overlook is both stunning and vast, but we warn you, the edge isn’t for the faint of heart, it is a long way down… I remember as a kid non-nonchalantly walking up to it only to here my mom’s warning voice of “do you want to die, because that’s how you die.”

If you’re heading there from Zion here’s map that shows you the route to take, what it reveals is actually how easy it is to find. There are major roads with lots of signs that will guide you to the spot. It will take you about 4 hours of driving time to reach it though.

The other thing you’ll find when you’re looking down from that incredible view, is your desire to float the Colorado. You realize that it would be incredible to go river rafting down there and looking up at those sheer canyon walls.
